1. When would I need a removable locking bollard?
Removable locking bollards are ideal for areas that need to be temporarily blocked, such as alleys, pathways, or trails. These bollards allow restricted access for delivery, emergency, or maintenance vehicles while keeping the area secure most of the time.
2. Is it better to use bare pipe or galvanized pipe?
While both options are available, we strongly recommend galvanized pipe for outdoor applications. Galvanizing prevents rust, ensuring the bollard remains removable. Bare pipe can rust over time and may become stuck in the floor sleeve, compromising its functionality.
3. What type of bollard cover comes with the removable locking bollard?
Our removable locking bollards include a durable 1/8″ yellow Bollard Cover. You can substitute this cover with any of our other Bollard Cover options. Please note that custom covers may incur an additional charge.
4. What sizes of removable locking bollards are available?
We offer two standard options:
- 4″ Schedule 40 pipe with a 5″ square floor sleeve
- 6″ Schedule 40 pipe with a 7″ round floor sleeve
Both options have a total height of 60″ (18″ in-ground and 42″ above-ground). Custom sizes are also available upon request.
